Belgique - Bioracer et le Belgian Paralympic Committee (BPC) poursuivent leur partenariat fructueux en 2026. En plus d’équiper la délégation de para-cyclisme, Bioracer fournira désormais également des tenues de compétition innovantes à la délégation nationale de para-athlétisme. Avec cette extension, le partenariat met son expertise au service de l’athlétisme, avec une approche éprouvée axée sur les solutions sur mesure et la performance au plus haut niveau pour les athlètes d’élite.

Le succès du partenariat s’est clairement illustré lors des Jeux Paralympiques de Paris 2024. En para-cyclisme, Ewoud Vromant (MC2) a décroché deux médailles d’argent, sur le contre-la-montre et la poursuite, tandis que Tim Celen a remporté le bronze sur le contre-la-montre MT2.
Le handbike a également signé de solides performances. Maxime Hordies a décroché l’argent sur le contre-la-montre sur route en catégorie H1, tandis que Jonas Van de Steene s’est offert le bronze en catégorie H4. Ces résultats confirment la place du para-cyclisme belge parmi l’élite mondiale, toutes disciplines confondues.
The Pureto Social Ride Leuven started at Pureto in the Tiensestraat and took the group on a 55 km route, with 194 metres of elevation gain and a ride time of around 2 hours and 17 minutes.
Not an all-out sufferfest, but a varied loop through and around Leuven, with sections along the water, quiet village roads, open fields and a punchy finale towards Bertem.
"Every pedal stroke up there feels like more than just forward motion. For many participants, it is a step closer to someone they are fighting for, or someone they want to honour. Everyone is there for each other, strangers become friends on the mountain, and you feel it everywhere. People cheer each other on, or fall into each other's arms. The fact that our kit gets to carry all of those stories to the top is what makes this partnership so special to Bioracer."

Custom Pureto kit
As official kit sponsor, Bioracer once again supplied the official Alpe d'HuZes participant jersey. But this is more than a piece of sportswear. It is a visible symbol of support. On the back of the jersey, there is space for sixteen sponsor logos, meaning participants literally carry their supporters up the mountain with them.
For many, that jersey is an important part of their story. It shows who is backing them, why they are riding, running, or walking, and whose names they carry through every climb. On the mountain, the jersey becomes a carrier of memories and motivation, and more than the occasional tear.
Fit individuel
Chaque pièce d’équipement est adaptée au millimètre à l’anatomie unique de l’athlète.
Pour Tim Celen, cela s’est traduit par un ajustement spécifique au niveau du bras. Pour Ewoud Vromant, la combinaison a été raccourcie au niveau de la jambe droite et élargie aux avant-bras afin d’obtenir une coupe aérodynamique parfaitement adaptée.
Innovation spécifique à la position
La position du coureur sur le vélo détermine le choix de la combinaison.
Vromant et Celen visent l’or avec une combinaison Speedmaster adaptée, le même type de combinaison que celle avec laquelle Remco Evenepoel a remporté ses titres olympiques et mondiaux. Les handcyclistes comme Hordies et Van de Steene utilisent quant à eux l’Epic Aero Triathlon Suit, avec une coupe spécifique et des jambes longues pour minimiser la résistance à l’air dans leur position couchée.

Every bend is one closer to the top. Every pedal stroke brings participants a little closer to the people they are riding for. That is what makes Alpe d'HuZes so powerful.
And while we are still carrying the energy of this year’s edition, we are already looking ahead to the next one. On Thursday 3 June 2027, Alpe d’Huez will once again become the mountain of Alpe d’HuZes. A place where thousands of participants come together to climb with a purpose, to honour loved ones and share stories. All to raise funds for cancer research.
